Hi! I'm Jennifer, and I am a newly-converted bento lunch creator! I am currently a senior in college, and I am inspired to make myself healthy and enjoyable bento lunches. Now if you're asking yourself, "Bento? Is this another one of those crazy diet trends?" Well the answer is no, bento is not a diet. By definition, bento is "a lacquered or decorated wooden Japanese lunchbox." While it technically refers to an elaborate sectioned box used to serve Japanese dishes, what drew me to bento was the unique way that the food was presented. Bento lunches present food in a way that is both pleasing to the eye and as a result, fun to eat! Because I have just recently begun making my lunches in this style, I am in no way a "bento master," even though I sometimes like to think that I am. ;)
Thanks for reading my blog, and I hope you enjoy my bento-style lunch creations.
